Ciao MMVI

Hey hey,

I've made a quick dash to the otherside of the world back home for a few weeks. A side note here: J Bazz and I were looking at an altas one day and figured out if you drilled through the earth from NZ you'd get to somewhere in Spain. Anyway, with near-on 24hrs flying with a breif stopover in LA, I was pretty tired upon arrival but happy to be back for a relaxing time.

My olds picked me up from Auckland and then we met up with Melissa (sister) and drove down to Thames for a couple of days. Had a good dose of sun at Hot Water Beach near Whitianga yesterday, which I was in need of with the sun going down about 4pm back in London. The weather's pretty changeable here though with random showers every now and again.

I'm back in the bay soon and am heading over to Mother Jangles' soon for a few drinks while catching up with some buddies I haven't seen since Jan. Next weekend is the event I primarily made the voyage for; the wedding we've all been waiting for - Chuck & Deb's wedding. It's going to be a great party...

See you in '07... Happy New Years!!

Adios Amigo!

My mate Ian had to return to 'The Land of the Long White Cloud' recently because he couldn't sleep at night knowing that government officials could burst through the door at any minute and throw him on the next cargo plane home. Well, maybe not quite as dramatic as that, but he had to go and many of us here are disappointed we had to say goodbye.

He's been a good friend to me here and we've had many good times. Ian was here before me so played a part in helping me figure out and explore this new land. We had a great trip to Amsterdam over Easter where we met some good friends that couldn't refuse our combined charms (or something like that!). Throughout the year our social lives have been closely combined so there's a bit of a gap on my friends line-up now, that I'm keeping open in case he can find a way back.

A group of us went to the School Disco for one last blast with the fella. We had to dress up in school clothes, wearing ties etc and had a great time groovin' to classic hits from our younger days. It was a pumpin' night, a fitting send off for out buddy who we shared so many others with.

Anyway buddy, we're sad to see you go, but happy for the times we had and you'll always be part of our memories of expanding our lives into the exciting international arena...

Italy

I did promise awhile ago some photos from my trip to Italy and I've finally gotten around to it... It's pretty tough to get photos that do justice to what we saw, but you get the picture.

Little Britain

It’s pretty funny. I met Lou and Andy as you can see. Well, you might notice they’re not really the original characters played by Matt Lucas and David Williams – instead a couple of guys I met that The Church a while back. Yep that’s right I went to The Church on a Sunday. The Church celebrates a religion shared by millions worldwide; drinking. It’s a venue only open on Sundays from 12:00pm to 3:30pm where you can drink in a large hall with hundreds of other antipodeans while listening to good tunes and watching some interesting antics on stage. I’m not usually one to drink on a Sunday, but it had to be done. I must say I’m not one of those hypocritical church goers that thinks their god’s gift to the world because they go to church on Sunday then subsequently act like w**kers for the rest of the week. Unfortunately you don’t know who you are (none of you guys though).

That wasn’t really about Little Britain at all really, rather a bit of an arc through three vaguely related, not fully explored topics. That seems like too long of a title, so lets stick with Little Britain shall we?
